The Grand Encampment Opera House is available for both public and private functions. The facility offers the following:

  • Main Hall seats approximately 150, but a smaller number is more comfortable. Building capacity is 347. The capacity 267 for main hall area and stage.

  • Bell Tower Meeting Room: A small meeting area with 4 2’x6’ tables and 10 banquet style chairs. More chairs and tables are on site. There is a restroom and sink and cabinet area available for those that use this meeting room.

  • Warming kitchen with two ovens, refrigerator, plenty of counter space and a pass through window into the main hall.

  • There are 13- 8’ Tables and 200 banquet style chairs at the facility.

  • North side of the facility exits into the Kay Ellie Park which has a gazebo which can be used for weddings.

The Grand Encampment Opera House is an unmanned facility. There are no event supplies on site. Users must bring their own coffee pots, dishes, utensils etc. Users bring their own supplies and take them home when done. This is what helps us to keep the user fees low.

There are trash bags and cleaning supplies on site.

User Fees

Private Party*-no kitchen $100.00 deposit / $50.00 user fee
Private Party*-with kitchen $170.00 deposit / $100.00 user fee
*Private Party fees apply to any organizations not under a long-term deposit agreement.
 
Encampment-Riverside Area Organizations $50.00 long-term deposit agreement allows use for regular meetings at no additional charge. However, there will be a $50.00 non refundable fee for use of the kitchen for any organizational event.

 

The Grand Encampment Opera House Has an Endowment Fund Established with the Wyoming Community Foundation.

The GEOH Endowment fund returns proceeds to the Town of Encampment to help cover the cost of Operations and Maintenance of the Grand Encampment Opera House. Since 2011 this fund has provided $18,270.17 in support of the Grand Encampment Opera House.

The initial endowment fund was established in partnership with the Gretchen Swanson Family Foundation, the Storer Foundation and the Gates Frontiers Foundation through a funding challenge.

Your planned gift to this fund will help continue to ensure the facility is available at little or no cost to our area organizations.
